About the Repco Bathurst 1000
The Repco Bathurst 1000 is the 1,000 kilometre Supercars endurance race at Mount Panorama, run over four days each October. Practice and qualifying fill the Thursday and Friday, the Top Ten Shootout is on the Saturday and the Great Race itself runs on the Sunday.
It is not a caravan show. More than 25,000 people camp on the Mount for race week, most of them in caravans and camper trailers. The campground is a short walk from the display precinct.
Bathurst is about three hours west of Sydney over the Blue Mountains. The crowd comes from across regional NSW, the ACT and further afield.
What to See at the Bathurst 1000 2026
The on-track program runs Thursday 8 to Sunday 11 October, with the race on the Sunday. Off the track there are historic car displays, live music and family entertainment across the precinct.
Merchandise Alley runs along pit straight on the grandstand side and on the Mountain on the campground side, with team merchandise, food and bars alongside the display stands.

- Bathurst in October can be hot in the afternoon and cold in the evening. Pack for both.
- Accommodation in town books out well ahead of race week. On-Mount camping is sold through the official site.
Where to Stay
If you are travelling with your caravan, camping on the Mount is the closest option, and there is a park with powered sites in town.
