What makes a caravan a couples caravan
A couples caravan is one where the floor plan trades bunks for living space. Without a kids’ end taking up the rear third of the van, the layout opens up. You get a bigger lounge, a proper kitchen with bench space, an ensuite you can move in, and storage that’s about the couple’s gear rather than four sets of school clothes.
Couples-specific features that matter:
- A club lounge or wraparound dinette that converts to a second bed for guests without losing daytime seating
- An island bed or East-West configuration so you don’t climb over each other in the night
- A full ensuite with a separate shower, sized for two adults
- A kitchen with the bench space to cook properly, not a hot plate above the fridge
- Storage that’s about your gear, not the kids’ gear, with a smaller external storage footprint
How Titanium does couples
Across the range, the couples-first plans are:
- HS1 hybrid couples plans (156PTC, 156HTC, 176HTC, 176PTC, 186HTCFE, 196HTCFE) for couples wanting a smaller off-road footprint or a lower tow height
- S1 couples plans (Front Door, Rear Door, East-West layouts from 18’8 through 23’6) for couples touring on a tightly specified S Series build
- S2 couples plans across 15’0 to 18’0 for buyers wanting a compact premium build
- WS1 couples plans (206WS1, 210WS1, 226WS1) for couples wanting the largest interior and the premium WS1 inclusions list
The chassis platform is shared. The off-grid kit is shared. The interior fit-out is where each model carves out its niche.
Who buys a couples caravan
The couples we work with usually fall into these groups:
- Couples doing the lap, who want a van they can live in for 6 to 12 months without it feeling cramped
- Retired or semi-retired buyers stepping up from a smaller van after the kids leave home
- Couples upsizing from a hybrid because they’ve done one big trip and want more living room next time
- Buyers replacing a worn-out high-end caravan with a premium build they’ll keep another 15 years

I purchased a 2024 Hardcore S3 from the factory in Melbourne a couple of weeks ago. Had to get to brissy not leaving myself much time and van towed beautifully. From my first point of contact with the office, to picking up the van for the delivery, I knew I had made the right choice with Titanium. Some businesses you just walk into, and can see the passion and professionalism straight away. This is of course easier to achieve knowing that you have a great product to sell to customers. I have had other caravans in the past, and see the craftsmanship and strength in my new Van. Have had a couple of minor adjustments / 1 replacement to make, which sometimes happens with caravans with so many moving parts. It’s not the minor issues that are a problem, with so many caravan manufacturers these days, it’s the lack of after delivery service, making you feel like you are on your own after you drive away, that causes the stress.. Not so with Titanium, they back up their product and band together to help you as quickly as possible. Looking forward to many memorable years with Titanium. Keep up the great work guys!

Frequently asked questions
What makes a caravan layout suitable for couples?
No bunks, generally. The rear third of the van is taken over by lounge, kitchen or storage rather than a kids' end. The bed at the front is an island or East-West configuration. The ensuite is usually larger, often with a separate shower stall. The kitchen has more bench space because there's no rush hour.
What's a club lounge and is it worth it?
A club lounge is a wraparound dinette, often U-shaped, that's the main living seat of the van. The premium club lounge layouts (220RCL, 226KBCL, 230RCL, 236RCL) trade the smaller dinette for a bigger lounge. If you're doing long trips, sitting on the lounge for hours every evening, it makes a real difference. If you're doing weekends, it's overkill.
Can I sleep guests in a couples caravan?
Yes. The club lounge converts to a second bed in most layouts, sized for one adult or two kids. Useful for the occasional family member who joins you for a leg of a trip without needing a triple bunk arrangement permanently.
Which Titanium model is most popular with couples?
It depends on tow vehicle and trip length. The HS1 hybrid is the entry point for couples with a smaller 4WD. The S1 to S4 sit in the middle of the range, with the broadest set of couples floor plans. The WS1 is the premium pick at the top, with the largest interior and the most luxurious inclusions list.
Can a couples caravan handle off-road touring?
Yes. Same Cruisemaster XT Airbag BCS suspension, same low-truss chassis, same all-terrain tyres as the family floor plans. The interior is different. The off-road chassis is the same. Off-road capability refers to suitability for unsealed and corrugated roads. Use in extreme or technical 4WD conditions may fall outside the intended design. Refer to the Warranty Booklet for details of suitable use.
How long can a couple stay off-grid?
Power is rarely the limit, with 400 to 690 amp-hour lithium and 900 to 1,575W of solar standard. Water is the constraint. A couple in a 245 to 400 litre fresh-water capacity caravan typically gets 7 to 10 days off-grid before refilling, longer if you ration showers.
Is a couples caravan worth it if we want to take the grandkids occasionally?
Probably yes. A couples caravan with a club lounge can sleep one or two grandkids on the converted lounge for short visits. If grandkids are coming every school holidays, look at a family floor plan with permanent bunks instead. The annual frequency of guests usually tells you which way to go.
What's the warranty?
Every Titanium couples caravan collected from 1 January 2027 ships with an 8 year structural, 3 year manufacturer warranty. Routine servicing and authorised warranty work are available through our two Titanium Service Centres and over 250 approved caravan service centres nationwide.
