HS1 and HS2 pop tops

Every pop top caravan we build is an HS1 or HS2, the two hybrid caravans in our Composite Series. You can have either one with a pop top or a hard top roof.

The hard top comes in seven floor plans from 15’6 to 19’6. If you want a family layout at 17’6, the 17’6 Pop Top Families (176PTF) is the only one in our range.

You can talk through both roofs with the team at our experience centres in Epping, Victoria and Narangba, Queensland.

Pop top floor plans for couples and families

All four of our pop top plans have a queen north-south bed. For couples, the 15’6 Pop Top Couples (156PTC) has a cafe dinette. The extra length in the 17’6 Pop Top Couples (176PTC) goes to a side club lounge.

Our two family plans, the 15’6 Pop Top Families (156PTF) and 17’6 Pop Top Families (176PTF), have a straight lounge and a double bunk with drawers underneath.

On the HS2, the 3-way filtered flick mixer comes on the 17’6 plans only.

What comes on both models

Like every Titanium, the HS1 and HS2 are Australian made. Both carry a Victron battery management system, a Cerbo GX touch screen electrical and water tank monitor and a 43L greywater tank. Three 50A Anderson plugs cover vehicle charging, portable solar charging and 12V output power. There’s also a mains pressure inlet, a water tap on the A-frame and two 4.5kg gas bottles.

The fit-out includes aluminium frame carcass furniture, a pillow top mattress, USB, USB-C and 240V outlets throughout, a 27″ HD smart LED TV, a Fusion Bluetooth audio system and an Eberspacher DH9 Diesel Heater/Hot Water Service Combo.

Outside, there’s a slide-out kitchen with built-in storage drawers, an external pantry, an external shower and a Fiamma awning. A Wolf Fabrication TB68 Super Toolbox, a reverse camera, Aussie Traveller flat profile windows and a triple compression locking entry door with security screen come standard too.

Every Composite Series chassis is made with Australian steel by a local boutique chassis manufacturer and has an extended A-frame, two rear recovery points and a stone deflector as standard. Both models use a Cruisemaster DO35V3 coupling with integrated handbrake, 12″ electric drum brakes, drop-down stabiliser legs and an 8″ adjustable jockey wheel.

The HS2 adds an external 95L Dual Zone Fridge, a portable induction unit and a Dust Reduction System. Its exclusive Titanium Hybrid rear bar carries the spare wheel, a wood box, dual jerry can holders and a slide-out drawer.

Off-road capability refers to suitability for unsealed and corrugated roads. Use in extreme or technical 4WD conditions may fall outside the intended design. Refer to the Warranty Booklet for details of suitable use.

One-Piece Fibreglass Composite Panel Roof

What the Titanium Family has to say

Frequently asked questions

Can you get a pop top caravan with a toilet and shower?

Yes, all four of our pop top floor plans have a shower and a toilet inside. On both the HS1 and HS2 the toilet is a Separett Tiny compost toilet. For a full ensuite, look at our 18'6 Hard Top Couples Full Ensuite (186HTCFE) or 19'6 Hard Top Couples Full Ensuite (196HTCFE), both built as hard tops.

What are the disadvantages of a pop top?

The roof adds a job to setting up and packing up at every camp. On both the HS1 and HS2, the 12V shower hatch with fan and the 12V slimline rangehood come with the hard top only. The HS2's solar panel layout also depends on the roof you choose.

Can a family of four or five fit in a pop top?

A family of four fits: both of our pop top family plans sleep two in the queen bed and two in the double bunk. Four is the most any of our pop top layouts sleeps. Families of five can choose the 19'6 Hard Top Families Triple Bunk (196HTF3) on the same HS1 and HS2, or a triple bunk caravan on the S Series or our CS1.

What sizes do your pop tops come in?

Our 15'6 pop tops have an external length of 7,176mm and an internal length of 4,747mm. At 17'6, that grows to 7,838mm outside and 5,425mm inside. Both the HS1 and HS2 come in single or dual axle depending on the size you choose.

Can a pop top go off-road?

Our pop tops are fitted for unsealed and corrugated roads. The HS1 has a hot dipped galvanised chassis on Cruisemaster XT BCS wireless app-controlled airbag suspension, while the HS2 gets a Line-X coated chassis on the Cruisemaster ATX BCS version. Both run 16" 703 Hub-Centric Method Race Wheels on Maxxis RAZR tyres.

Which pop top should I choose, the HS1 or HS2?

If you want to stay off-grid for longer, the HS2 is the one to look at. It carries 3 x 110L water tanks, up to 600Ah of lithium depending on layout, 5 x 225W solar panels and a 3000VA Victron inverter/charger, against the HS1's 2 x 110L water tanks, 200Ah lithium battery and 2 x 225W solar panels.
