What is a Titanium Composite Caravan?

A Titanium composite caravan is built using advanced fibreglass composite panels that are engineered for strength, insulation and long-term durability. Rather than relying on traditional external cladding, the walls and roof are manufactured from fully bonded composite panels, creating a rigid, modern caravan body designed for Australia’s toughest touring conditions.

The result is a premium caravan that delivers excellent thermal performance, a clean seamless finish and exceptional structural rigidity, making it well suited to extended off-grid travel and remote touring.

Why choose a composite caravan?

Composite construction offers a number of benefits for travellers looking for a premium touring experience, including:

  • Excellent insulation to help regulate internal temperatures in both hot and cold climates.
  • A rigid, fully bonded body designed to minimise movement and rattles on corrugated roads.
  • Smooth fibreglass exterior panels with fewer visible joins for a modern appearance.
  • Lightweight yet incredibly strong construction, helping maximise durability without unnecessary weight.
  • Low-maintenance materials that are well suited to Australia’s diverse environments.

Titanium’s approach to composite construction

Our CS1 range combines composite body construction with the proven engineering found throughout the Titanium range.

Every Titanium composite caravan features:

  • One-piece fibreglass composite roof panels designed to reduce external joins.
  • Precision engineered composite side walls for strength and rigidity.
  • An aluminium structural framework for long-term dimensional stability.
  • Premium Wolf Fabrication components manufactured in-house at our Melbourne facility.
  • Cruisemaster XT Airbag BCS self-levelling suspension for exceptional off-road capability.
  • A premium 24V Victron electrical system with lithium batteries, high-output solar and inverter technology for extended off-grid independence.

While the body construction differs, every Titanium caravan is built around the same commitment to quality engineering, Australian manufacturing and genuine off-road capability.

Is a composite caravan right for you?

A composite caravan is ideal for travellers wanting premium comfort, modern construction and long-term touring confidence. Whether you’re exploring the Kimberley, crossing the Simpson Desert or spending months travelling Australia’s coastline, composite construction provides outstanding insulation, structural integrity and a refined touring experience.

The Titanium CS1 delivers all of this while retaining the off-road capability, premium suspension and off-grid performance that define every Titanium caravan.

Built the Titanium way

The nine pillars that define every Titanium build. Highlighted below are the ones most relevant to this category.

Off-Grid Ready

Solar panels, batteries and water tanks as standard inclusions, so you can enjoy life off the grid with the comforts of home.

Aluminium Frame

Inspired by automotive and aviation, our Henrob-riveted aluminium frames are built to outlast traditional caravan construction methods. They resist rot, moisture, termites and cracking.

Interlocking Furniture

Over 650 interlocking joins. Precise tongue-in-groove furniture built for rigidity and stability on the move.

Australian Made & Owned

Proudly Australian made and owned. We source premium componentry and support local manufacturing.

In-House Trades

Our qualified in-house electricians and plumbers are dedicated to producing quality caravans.

Warranty & Service Network

5-year structural warranty and 2-year manufacturer warranty as standard, backed by a nationwide caravan service network.

Support You Can Count On

Our dedicated customer service team is with you from first enquiry to handover, and well beyond.

Rugged Build & Looks

Purpose-built for Australian conditions, and turns heads at every campsite.

One-Piece Fibreglass Composite Panel Roof

The one-piece fibreglass composite roof typically insulates better than a framed roof, because the insulation covers the full panel rather than leaving the gaps you get around frame members.

Frequently asked questions

What is a composite caravan?

A caravan built from sandwich panels (fibreglass skins around a foam or honeycomb core) rather than a timber frame with aluminium cladding. The result is a rigid, fully sealed body, designed to resist the rot and water damage that can affect older-style aluminium-and-timber builds over time.

Why is composite construction better?

Whether composite construction is "better" depends on how you use your caravan and what you value most. Composite and aluminium construction are simply two different engineering approaches, each with their own advantages. Composite caravans are popular with travellers who prioritise thermal insulation, a smooth modern exterior and fully bonded wall construction. Aluminium-framed caravans remain a proven and highly capable option, valued for their strength, serviceability and long-standing track record across Australia's harsh touring conditions. At Titanium, we build both composite and aluminium caravans because there isn't a single construction method that's right for every traveller. Instead, we focus on using premium materials, quality engineering and proven manufacturing techniques to ensure every caravan is built to handle Australia's demanding conditions. The best choice comes down to your travel style, budget and personal preferences, rather than one construction method being universally better than the other.

What's the difference between the CS1 and the S series?

The S series uses a traditional aluminium-and-timber-frame construction, well-proven across our build history. The CS1 uses full composite panels with an aluminium frame. Same chassis platform, same off-road kit, same off-grid kit, same warranty. The body construction is the differentiator.

Will the composite panels delaminate over time?

Composite delamination is the failure mode that affects cheap, poorly-bonded panels. The CS1 panels are bonded under controlled conditions to a specification matched to our chassis platform, with the joins sealed and reinforced at every structural attachment point. The 5-year structural warranty covers the body construction.

Is the CS1 off-road capable?

Yes. Same Cruisemaster XT Airbag BCS self-levelling suspension and low-truss chassis as the rest of the Titanium off-road range. Composite construction is actually well-suited to corrugated roads because the panels don't loosen the way a riveted aluminium skin can. Off-road capability refers to suitability for unsealed and corrugated roads. Use in extreme or technical 4WD conditions may fall outside the intended design and void the warranty.

Does composite construction cost more?

Yes. The panel tooling, the bonding process and the in-house fabrication all cost more than traditional construction. The trade-off is how long you keep it. For owners planning to keep a van for many years, the build usually justifies the higher purchase price. For owners planning to trade in at 5 years, the cost difference is harder to recover.

What's the warranty on the CS1?

The same as every Titanium build: a 5-year structural warranty plus a 2-year manufacturer warranty. The composite construction is covered specifically under the structural warranty. Routine servicing and authorised warranty work are available through our two Titanium Service Centres and approved service centres Australia wide. Contact our Warranty and Service team and we will connect you with the right provider in your area. Full warranty cover, inclusions, exclusions and conditions are set out in the Titanium Caravans Warranty Booklet, available on request. This warranty is provided in addition to the rights and remedies you have under the Australian Consumer Law and does not exclude, restrict or modify them.
